Category: Hear No Evil - See No Evil
I thought I would pass this along. I work for people with disabilities and got this early this morning. I encourage everyone who is effected to take part to help out and advance technology.
I am sharing this request to be a part of some national research about people who have both vision and hearing loss. Please read below.
Invitation to participate in new HKNC senior survey!
The Helen Keller National Center for Deaf-Blind Youth and Adults (HKNC) will be conducting a survey with seniors who experience combined loss of vision and hearing. If you are 55 or older and experience both hearing and vision loss, we invite you to participate in this survey. A gift card will be offered as a way to thank you for participating. Survey format options include online, telephone, braille, or large print.
The purpose of the survey is to determine priorities for training family members, community service providers, and professionals who work with older people who have hearing and vision loss. The results of the survey will be used to develop HKNC’s training curriculum to improve the skills and knowledge of these people.
The survey is being carried out by The National Research & Training Center on Blindness & Low Vision (NRTC) at Mississippi State University. If you would like to sign up to participate,
you may call 662-325-2001,
Complete the survey on-line https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/HKNCparticipants,
or by email acarter at colled.msstate.edu.
The deadline to submit your survey is June 30, 2014. We would love to have your opinions regarding this research. Thanks. Beth
